HTML is a good place sufficient to maintain a directory of website?
I have limited resources to create a website in the directory my region. I Homestead.com use a SiteBuilder. It's HTML. I know I have many obstacles to overcome if it is based on HTML or not. My first goal is to identify more than 700 local businesses on my site. If successful, my directory to be stable enough to manage traffic growth and provide goods and services of local companies with small fleets, such as florists, gift shops, etc, until I can generate income for a professional web designer do it for me? What are the positive and negative aspects with the HTML when it comes to website creation, maintenance costs, etc.? My website can be found at SeeMeOn.com. Thank you for your contribution.
HTML (only) = static site, all such changes everything done in HTML files and downloaded again from … [Example: There is a new company in your area, or one to change your old phone number] can not sell anything with just HTML (it requires at least one form of server side scripts to do this). It will be easier (and cheaper) to create a dynamic site to handle 700 + companies that create and maintain 700 + static HTML pages … Most (if not all) Web Hosting Solutions offers a kind of server support scripts … There are some free (and very cheap) Web Hosts offering DB backend and server side script too …
