Orange County (California), plants and flowers in Seven Days

Orange County was once a beautiful wilderness, with vast fields of prairie sage Bush, wildflowers and native plants overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Today, only 1/10th of the Sage maquis and1 percent grasslands remain. One in three of our flowers and native plants are classified as threatened. And yet, you can always visit the natural beauty of the Orange County without driving for hours. The research team Visser € ™ s Greenhouse and Florist Anaheim reached within seven days to visit the hot spots of nature € ™ s glory still exist in our environment. Get up early, put on walking shoes and follow us for a short visit.

Day One â € "The Arboretum Fullerton. Arboretum was founded in 1979 on the basis of Cal State University Fullerton. Located at 1900 Associated Road, Fullerton (714) 278-3579. Open daily 8:00-4:45. Admission is free, but Make a donation of $ 2.00.
The arboretum is 26 acres of beautiful gardens, plants and flowers from around the world organized in different libraries. There is quiet garden paths crossing major groups: cultivated forests, the Mediterranean and the desert. While walking through the facility, do not forget to visit the forest rare fruits, garden of the Channel Islands, the vast collection of cycads and kindergarten.

Second day € "Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. 28,373 Alicia Parkway
Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 (949) 923-2200. The park offers nature walks lead by Rangers, along with 30 miles of walks and hikes. Itâ € ™ SA ideal place to take your ATV or horseback. Official is designated as a wildlife sanctuary.
Home Orange County € ™ s Museum of Natural History This park is a large natural buffer between Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel. The roads follow the hills and canyons and offer spectacular views of ocean and mountains. There are a variety of native plants, flowers and wildlife. In reality, provides a good representation of what Orange County was once. Itâ € ™ SA wonderful place to spend the day, although it can be very hot in summer, bring water and wear the hat!

Third day â € "fields flowers in Carlsbad, California. (760) 431-0352. Ok, technically the flower fields, located in southern Orange County, but from March to May each year, is simply one of the most spectacular exhibitions of flowers in southern California, well worth the additional disk.

For eight weeks each spring, the Giants renunculus are in bloom and the earth is transformed into a sea of vibrant colors. There are 50 hectares of renunculus and also planted 10 hectares of Gladiolus, Watsonia, and many other flowers that make the region even more beautiful. The impact color as beauty is difficult to describe. Once you go you'll never forget. Moreover, be sure to visit the All-American Rose Selection test garden. The fields of flowers, do not travel in groups and hayrides € "particularly popular among children. If you love flowers, this is a true driver worth € "and fun for the whole family.

Fourth day â € "Oak Canyon Nature Center. 6700 E. Walnut Canyon Rd, Anaheim (714) 998-8380. The Oak Canyon Nature Center is 60 acres of parks located in Anaheim Hills. The park consists of three guns joined four miles of hiking trails and a year-round creek. It is a good example of Orange County € ™ s past, with oak, rubbed sage, flowers and native plants in the region. There are many wild animals in the area that makes your trip more enjoyable. This park is a little less solid than other wilderness areas, and is suitable for hikers less experienced.

Day Five â € "Carbon Canyon Regional Park. 4442 Carbon Canyon Road
Brea, CA 92823 (714) 973 3160. Redwoods? County Orange? Thata € ™ s right folks. At the end of this rise of 1.1 Nature is a mile magnificent 10-acre coastal Redwood Grove. Even if they are not native to California South, which were planted in 1975 and doing very well in this protected environment. On the way to the top is a magnificent view of the Carbon Canyon Dam and thousands of flowers and native plants. In addition, you will see rare Monterey Pines, elderberry, California Walnut. Carbon Canyon Creek crosses the road, but the rock hopping is easy. Enjoy a meal, when the Giant trees are a wonderful picnic place. A picnic table and a water fountain awaits you at the top. Parking is only $ 2.00. The park also has a small lake and numerous sports facilities. In summer it is hot, and keep your eyes open for snakes. This park is a great day trip.

Day Six – Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve. 2301 University Drive, Newport Beach, California 92660 (949) 923-2290. Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve is one of the southern californiae € Estuaries ™ s past – a place where freshwater and saltwater meet. It contains about 1,000 acres of open space and offers a magnificent view of the coastal wetlands. This is considered one of the best birding sites in North America. It houses over 200 species of birds, and during the winter months up to 35,000 migratory birds seen here in a single day. Two major plant communities are found here – grasslands and coastal sage scrub. The reserve also contains the Interpretation Center Muth, a 10,000 square foot education offered series of exhibitions and interactive displays. We also offer walking tours and water. Itâ € ™ SA ideal for small and large!

Day Seven – Sherman Library and Gardens 2647 East Pacific Coast Highway
Corona del Mar, (949) 673-2261. Sherman Gardens is an oasis 2.2 acres of peace in the midst of an urban area. The gardens consist of thousands of plants, cacti and flowers amid beautiful fountains, brick paths covered, pergolas and trees. Tropical Conservatory contains many beautiful orchids, heliconia and other flowers native to this region. Seasonal flowers are everywhere. The library is a specialized research center devoted to the study of South-West Pacific and contains over 25,000 books, maps, images and other printed articles. Sherman Gardens offers a tranquil setting and wonderful for enjoying nature € ™ s Bounty at its best. It's really a wonderful place.

So there you have it. Seven days, seven unique opportunity to see nature € ™ s Wonderland, in Orange County.
