IPhone: a work of art or works in progress?
Monday morning around the water cooler have become a platform for one of our representatives More sales of voice to show off the latest gossip in the technology market. Heath Morrow comes to work each week for sales meeting appearing as if he jumped a page of GQ magazine. A tireless fashion pioneer, coming to work mixing business with pleasure, and this morning wearing a shirt, Armani Jeans and True Brand Religion.
"This is going to do everything except my morning coffee, he boasted that the device small, elegant hand." See how the image is clear. "
Heath showed us his new iPhone, and now, you might think he was a paid marketing guru for Apple, the maker of the electronic box eye-candy.
"And look how I turned upside down." Heath turns the camera on its end and high-resolution screen oriented itself point of legibility. "It` s Not keyboard or look for more, because the `touch screen, and it` s Super easy to use. "
On 29 July 2007 Apple launched its iPhone, and acknowledge last week surprised me this excellent work. But that did not seem too fast, I thought I could balance Heath `s high appreciation with a little research of my own. The new iPhone is a work of art or a work in progress?
First, what is the iPhone? Besides the fact that this is an impressive mobile communication device, the new iPhone also supports Web browsing (Safari) and e-mail. And for people with sensitivities of MTV, music and video playback (including Youtube.com) has never been more convenient.
But there are other gadgets out there that offer staple "smartphone" features popular today, including access to Easy liberal Web Archive files. What makes this device elegant so special? The short answer is (and if you saw Heath `s impromptu presentation, Monday morning you would agree), the" pleasure SA to use seems clear and fresh.
Other features include OS X (a customized version of Mac `s own operating system), up to 8 GB of space, Wi-Fi, email visual voice, and the compatibility of iTunes.
Need a map? The iPhone allows direct access to Google Maps, where you can find the corner of flowers know how get to your next appointment, and even provide access to traffic conditions.
You want access to weather information and analysis actions? The iPhone offers. Although the time of the data is not real, they can access virtually the values of the populations of courses over the Internet. Similarly, time Yahoo gives you current conditions and forecasts for six days.
So Where's the iPhone falls short? The list is actually much more than expected, as Heath `s high praise to the source. However, like all things Mac, we can be sure that this list is reduced as the market changes.
iPhone limitations include: No picture and video messaging, no video capture, no image to zoom, no TV output signal, no Internet radio, no stereo, no Flash, Java, RSS, Windows Media or Real Player, Skype does not, no changes to the document or copy / paste feature can not be undone, no dialing voice, no voice memos, without recording calls without GPS and without access to iPod games.
So if you can justify spending 400-600 billion despite limited color palette, the iPhone could be your style. Fortunately, Apple `s latest and greatest palm was not` t carved in stone, as Michelangelo `s David. Instead, it `s more like a clay figurine, taking shape according to the needs of its users.
My point? I think we `ll keep my Razr uncomfortable around a few more months until Apple unveils an iPhone that can turn even Van Gogh.
