The Rosedale Neighborhood

During the 1800s, the area now known as Rosedale was farm land and dairy products, and even later, In 1900, the region is mainly used for nurseries and florists, and the remains of the era remain. This beautiful region, which retains the look of abundant growth, is still largely covered with leaves, trees, shrubs and flowers, and is so quiet and peaceful.

Most homes in Rosedale neighborhood were built in the 1930s and 1940s, and are unique and historic, with numerous cottages, wooden bungalows and brick homes. The Rosedale neighborhood is located in north central Austin, and is bordered by Lamar on the east, Shoal Creek, West North Loop / Hancock Drive to the north and south 38th Street.

One of the central features of the Rosedale neighborhood is Ramsey Park, which is a beautiful park with a large swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, picnic areas, picnic and hiking and bicycle paths, all under a canopy of shade trees for leaves. There are about 1200 homes in the Rosedale area, most with easy access to the park, and many other attractions, businesses, and hotspots of the neighborhood.

There are a number of historic houses, many of which were Recently renovated, including the Seiders Peterson house, on 40th Street in the heart of Rosedale. There is also a local library in Rosedale, called the Yarbrough Library, it was a New Year celebration and festival for residents and the library is located on Hancock Street.

Another famous annual event in Rosedale is the conference Annual July 4th and the carnival held at Ramsey Park, with games, booths, contests, and various types of foods and beverages and the annual festivities to attract a crowd crowd each year.

Rosedale residents are a mix of several people, including young families, professionals and older residents, some of which were in the neighborhood for years and have raised children and grandchildren, many people still live in Rosedale themselves.

There is also a gallery popular art in the Rosedale area called Images of Austin and the gallery features the works of Mary Doerr and Ginny Findeison, and many of the works represent the various beautiful sites Austin, and Texas, south-west and central. The gallery is located on Burnet Road.

Directly across Lamar area Rosedale Seton Hospital, are two major attractions for residents of Austin, Central Market complex, with its patio cafe, live music and various elements esoteric, and a plethora of food, wine and other products, and the Heart Hospital, which provides residents including access to primary care. There are many small shops and boutiques in the Central Market complex, many unusual properties and a kind selections of art, glass, jewelry, clothing, and others, and crafts.
